SPA DAY : MOWANA SPA AT INDABA HOTEL

SPA DAY : MOWANA SPA AT INDABA HOTEL

I’m a little bit embarrassed to admit , so early in the year, that I really needed a Spa Day. I usually find the beginning of the year extremely exhausting mainly because there is so much admin and readjusting you have to do from the long December holidays. So when Genevieve (Travel blogger and owner of  Passports and Perignon) invited me and a couple of other ladies to a morning filled with pampering, you can only imagine my reaction. We 5 hours of our morning at The Mowana Spa located in the heart of Indaba Hotel in Fourways, to say the experience was amazing is an understatement. Here is our morning itinerary :

08:00 : WELCOME DRINKS ON ARRIVAL

We were greeted with a soothing honey and strawberry mint tea and keys to our locker rooms where we could slip into our comfortable robe and slippers for the morning. We were then offered a scrumptious English breakfast , the options were endless and needless to say, I’ve had my cheat meal for the week, lol!

09:00 – RELAXING HEAD, NECK AND SHOULDER MASSAGE

We were escorted to our first session of the day and that was the neck, head and shoulder massage. You walked through the passage where burning essence filled the air with a calming aroma that made you look forward to what will be 45 min of pure bliss.

10:00 – FULL BODY MASSAGE

11: FOOT AND LOWER LEG MASSAGE

You’d think by now we would be over the massages but the surprises kept on coming. The foot massage was the final stretch of the morning and a relaxing and scenic massage was just as the doctor ordered. With the use of a salt and coconut oil infused foot scrub, by the time I got back on my feet it felt like I was walking on clouds!

12:00 – DEPARTURE BEVERAGE AND TREAT

Leaving was probably the hardest part, I was so ready to check myself in and call it my new home! A big thank you to the Mowana Spa team for taking amazing care of us and to the lovely and sweet Gen for putting all of this together , it was such a treat!
