When cheat day comes and the opportunity arises, I love nothing more than tantalizing my taste buds with new flavors and I got to go wild ( yet guilt free) at Neighbourgoods Market in Cape Town. After I satisfied my food cravings it was time to indulge in some dessert. I came across a sign that read ‘Ready For Dessert’ and found myself in a long queue but it was so worth it.
Short & Curlys is a handcrafted ice-cream company that was started by Nico Pangio, who after visiting Phi Phi Thailand, stumbled upon this wonderful creation and decided to bring it back to South Africa. The ice-cream is made in front of you, turning it from liquid form to short delicious curls on a flat pan that is set to freezing temperature . With flavours ranging from toffee popcorn, lemon meringue and caramel fudge, it’s such a nice treat to satisfy your sweet tooth but also involve you in the exciting experience of seeing it come alive. It’s definitely worth waiting in the queue for.
Pick the two favours you want.
It’s then laid out on the pan.
The ingredients are then crunched up together and flattened
as they solidify and curled up into short bite sizes.
Grab a spoon and enjoy!
This flavour is caramel fudge and toffee popcorn.
